Frequently asked questions

Questions worth
answering first

The things people usually want to know before they pick up the phone. If your question is not here, an adviser will go through it with you directly.

About the firm

Who you
are dealing with

Our regulatory position, our scope and how we are paid.

Are you regulated?

Yes. Hussaria Group Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, FRN: 786506. We are directly authorised, which means we answer to the regulator directly rather than through a network. You can check our permissions on the FCA register.

How many lenders do you compare?

Hussaria Group Ltd is an authorised credit broker and not a lender. We work with an unrestricted number of lenders to find a potentially suitable arrangement for your consideration.

Will I be charged a fee?

We usually charge a broker fee which will depend on the type of transaction and will be disclosed to you throughout your customer journey.

Do you receive commission?

We will receive commission from lenders. Different lenders pay different amounts depending on the commission model used.

Where are you based and who do you cover?

Our head office is at Sentinel House, Albert Street, Eccles, Manchester M30 0SS. Our advisers support clients across England, Wales and Scotland, and appointments can be held by phone, by video or in person.

Do you offer advice in Polish?

Yes. Our advisers work with clients in both English and Polish, and a full Polish language version of this website is available.

Working with us

What actually
happens

What to expect from a first conversation, what to have ready, and what happens once a case is underway.

What happens at a first appointment?

We ask questions before we suggest anything. The first conversation is about your income, your commitments, what you are trying to do and by when. Nothing is recommended until that picture is clear.

What should I have ready?

Nothing formal is needed for a first conversation. Once a case moves forward, a lender or insurer will usually want to see:

  • Photo identification and proof of your current address
  • Recent payslips, or accounts and tax calculations if you are self employed
  • Recent bank statements
  • Details of any credit commitments and regular outgoings
How long does a mortgage application take?

It varies with the lender, the complexity of the case and the chain. Rather than quote an average that may not apply to you, your adviser will give you a realistic expectation for your specific case once the details are known, and will tell you if that changes.

What happens after completion?

We stay in contact. Ahead of the end of a fixed period we will review the position with you, and we are here in the meantime if your circumstances change.

How do you handle my personal information?

Our customer privacy notice sets out what we collect, why, who it is shared with and the rights you have. You can read it in full on our privacy policy page.

How do I make a complaint?

Tell us and we will look into it. Full details of how to raise a complaint are on our complaints page.

Still have a question?

Ask an adviser directly. A first conversation costs you nothing but the time it takes.
